Who We Are

ACCM (UK) works to promote action to bring about positive social change to enhance the wellbeing and to protect the dignity of girls and women locally, nationally and internationally.

Who We Are

ACCM (UK) set up in 2008, evolved from a major local charity, Agency for Culture and Change Management set up in Sheffield in 1997 from initially addressing illegal harmful traditional practices, including Female Genital Mutilation, forced arranged marriage and honour based violence all of which were part of domestic violence, that impacted on migrant communities around the UK.

Since 2008, it has worked to bring about positive change, to improve and wellbeing health inequalities that impacted on minority and most vulnerable disadvantaged communities of  Bedfordshire and surrounding regions.

The charity continues to bring about positive social change, safeguarding the well-being of girls and women at local, national, and international levels by eliminating harmful traditional practices, including FGM, Forced Arranged Marriage, and Honour-Based Violence.
